Doylestown Braces

Traditional braces remain one of the most reliable ways to correct crowding, gaps, and bite problems. Small metal or ceramic brackets are bonded to each tooth and connected by a wire that gently guides teeth into place over time. Because braces work well on both simple and complex cases, they are a dependable choice for kids, teens, and adults. Learn more about Doylestown braces.

Doylestown Invisalign

Invisalign straightens teeth using a series of clear, removable aligners instead of brackets and wires. The aligners are nearly invisible and can be taken out to eat, brush, and floss. Most people switch to a new set every one to two weeks and wear them 20 to 22 hours a day. A free consultation lets us confirm whether Invisalign is the right fit for your smile. LightForce Clear Braces

LightForce braces use custom 3D-printed brackets designed for your individual teeth. The result is a clear, low-profile look with treatment tailored to your bite. They are a strong option for patients who want the precision of braces with a more discreet appearance. See our LightForce clear braces.

Why an Orthodontist in Doylestown?

Orthodontist vs. Dentist

An orthodontist is a dentist, but a dentist is not an orthodontist. All orthodontists are dentists first, but though not every dentist has the qualifications to be an orthodontist. Dr. Patel continued his formal education for 2 or 3 additional years before receiving the necessary license and certification. As an orthodontist, Dr. Patel has spent years studying nothing but how and why to move teeth. This includes what to do, how to plan, and how to execute the appropriate treatment plan.

Why does it matter if you see your Doylestown Orthodontist?

Specialists receive additional training to give them the skills needed to deal with more complex orthodontic problems. Dentists receive basic orthodontic training which allows them to perform root canals, extract wisdom teeth, and treat young children who do not need to see an orthodontist yet.

Seeing a specialist like your Doylestown orthodontist may change your experience in braces by:

    • Providing additional treatment options.

    • Giving you more efficient treatment and visits, because it is the office's primary area of care.

    • Knowing that you'll receive the best possible outcome on your treatment plan, especially if you have severe bite problems that need to be addressed.

    • Personal experience treating multiple cases that share your unique concerns

    • Being seen more quickly, as a family dentist will be focused on longer patient cases or emergencies throughout the day.

You may think it's easier to have your orthodontic work completed by your dentist. Convenience shouldn't be a concern, because you will only be stopping by your Doylestown orthodontist's offices every six to eight weeks.

And don't let price be a problem either! Bucks Mont Orthodontics is proud to provide affordable treatment in the Doylestown area.

Orthodontic Care for Kids, Teens, and Adults

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first orthodontic evaluation by age 7. Early visits help Dr. Patel spot developing issues, and in many cases the right move is simply to monitor growth until treatment is needed. Teens and adults can choose from metal braces, Invisalign, or LightForce clear braces based on their goals and lifestyle.

Doylestown Orthodontist FAQs

When should my child first see an orthodontist?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an evaluation by age 7. Early treatment is not always needed, but an early look lets us catch developing issues at the right time.

How long does Invisalign take?

Most cases take 12 to 18 months. Simple cases can finish sooner and complex ones take longer. Dr. Patel confirms your timeline after an exam.

What is the difference between an orthodontist and a dentist?

All orthodontists are dentists, but only those who complete two to three years of additional specialty training become orthodontists. An orthodontist focuses specifically on moving teeth and correcting bites.

Do you offer same-day starts?

Yes. If you decide to move forward during your free consultation, you can often begin treatment the same day rather than booking a separate visit.
